The South Tabor Neighborhood Association will hold two board meetings prior to our next General Meeting (July 18, 2019). They will be held:
- Wednesday July 3, 2019 at 7:00pm, at the home of Ute Munger, 2728 SE 63rd Ave.
- Thursday July 11, 2019 at 6:00pm, at Trinity Fellowship Church, 2700 SE 67th Ave.
We have scheduled two separate meetings in order to accommodate the schedules of all members of the Board of Directors; most board members will attend only one of the meetings.
In these meetings, we will discuss what neighborhood priorities are most deserving of our attention in the coming year. This will include such topics as how to get out of a cycle of deficit budgets, what updates to our Bylaws (last updated in 2008) might be necessary, how the upcoming City of Portland code changes relating to Neighborhood Associations may impact our operations, how to best build community among our neighbors and with other area organizations, and other topics that board members bring to the table.
As always, board meetings are open to any neighbors who wish to observe. In these two meetings, we do not expect to make any decisions, but rather to summarize issues to present at the upcoming General Meeting. Neighbors wishing to discuss these issues, or bring up their own, are encouraged to contact President Pete Forsyth at email@example.com to add an item to the agenda for the upcoming General Meeting.
