July brought parades, fireworks and unpredictable weather. Farmers’ markets are in full swing, including a new one at Cafe au Play on SE Division and 57th.
Sadly we recently lost Gigi’s Coffee Bar on SE 60th and Division, but happily Rain or Shine Coffee has taken its place. Welcome to the neighborhood.
At the July STNA meeting a neighbor suggested we sponsor a South Tabor Garden Walk next summer. It was met with enthusiasm and Margaret Jeppesen was appointed chair.
Fliers for the “Movie in the Park” will go out the first week of August. The date for “How To Train Your Dragon” is August 20th.
The annual Harvest Festival in on the calendar for Sunday, September 18th, noon to 4 PM. All neighbors are invited to bring and share the bounty of fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, and seeds.
